PAS GIANNINA 2-0 PLATANIAS

PAS Giannina, who are one of the main promotion candidates, temporarily at least moved into first position of the Super League 2 with a 2-0 win against Platanias. Apollon Smyrnis will go top again tomorrow if they beat AOK Kerkyra on the road.

After a goalless first half, Castro Fabry opened the scoring for PAS in the 64th minute, poking the ball over the line at point blank range. Giorgos Pamlidis then made the victory save 12 minutes later as he slotted into the right corner.

PAS will host Doxa Drama next week, while Platanias welcome Kerkyra to Chania.

DOXA DRAMA 0-0 LEVADIAKOS

With a victory, Levadiakos would have moved above sixth-placed Doxa in the standings, but they were held to a 0-0 draw away from home.

Levadiakos’ last win in the Super League 2 was recorded on November 17 against Apollon Larissa. Doxa, on the other hand, were coming off the back of a surprise 3-1 triumph at Platanias.

Doxa face a daunting trip to PAS Giannina on matchday eight. Levadiakos will play against Ergotelis at home.

AE KARAISKAKIS 2-1 APOLLON PONTOU

Winless since late October, Karaiskakis finally gained all three points again, edging past Apollon Pontou 2-1 at home with two goals in the second half. Apollon Pontou, still on -3 points thanks to a punishment from the Hellenic Football Federation, have lost six of their seven matches.

Panagiotis Kontoes handed Apollon Pontou the lead in first-half stoppage time, but Karaiskakis responded with two markers from Leonidas Kyvelidis and Kristian Kushta in the second frame.

Karaiskakis will play against Apollon Smyrnis in Athens next week. Apollon Pontou travel to Apollon Larissa.
