Wins for Trikala, Ionikos, Veria
Trikala continue to lead the Football League after they defeated Ierapetra 3-0 while Ionikos remain in second place as they took down Triglia 2-0.

Trikala scored three second-half goals in a span of 16 minutes to comfortably defeat 10-man Ierapetra 3-0 on Saturday. After a goalless first half, the Cretans were reduced to 10 men when Babis was given a straight red card in the 59th minute. The hosts took full advantage of the extra man just three minutes later with Stamatis found the game’s opening goal. Pelaez double Trikala’s lead in the 69th minute and the same player ensured Trikala’s win with his second marker in the 78th minute. The result keeps Trikala in first place with 22 points while Ierapetra are in a four-way tie for fifth with 14 points.
Ionikos remained in second place after they defeated Triglia 2-0 in Nikaia. Kritikos opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and Vlachomitros doubled the hosts lead in the 60th minute to give Ionikos the three points. Ionikos trail leaders Trikala by just two points while Triglia remain in the relegation zone in 12th with 10 points.
Similar to Trikala, Veria scored in each half to record a 2-0 win over struggling Kalamata. The hosts opened the scoring in the 21st minute with Pasas’ spot-kick and the same player netted an insurance marker 15 minutes before the end. Veria are in third place with 18 points as Kalamata are tied for 10th with 11 points.
Niki Volou jumped out of the relegation zone as they also recorded a 2-0 win over Kavala. Garcia was the hero for the hosts who scored in both halves (12, 55) to give his side an important three points as they look to avoid the drop. Niki Volou are in ninth place with 12 points as Kavala sit in fourth with 15 points, seven points behind leaders Trikala.
In other action, Aspropyrgos defeated Ialysos 1:0 at home while Egaleo came away with an important victory on the road against Thesprotos by the same scoreline. In Rhodos, Diagoras and Olympiacos Volou played to a goalless draw.
