Greece will conclude their disappointing UEFA EURO 2020 qualifying campaign in the coming days with their final fixtures away to Armenia (Nov 15) and at home to Finland (Nov 18). Although there is nothing to play for in Group J for the Greek team (cannot claim second place in the group), the Ethniki will look to build on their convincing display against Bosnia (2-1 win) and end the qualifying campaign on a high note under John van ‘t Schip’s management.

Greece currently sit in fifth place of Group J in Euro 2020 qualifying with eight points from eight games.

The players met on Monday for their first training session ahead of Friday’s fixture in Armenia. Although no reports have indicated van ‘t Schip’s plans for the starting XI, the Dutch manager is expected to continue experimenting with various players. According to gazzetta.gr, Vasilis Lampropoulos, Leonardo Koutris, Tasos Donis, and the new face, Sebastian Vasiliadis, are the favorites to start in Friday’s qualifier.

Zeca ruled out

Carlos Zeca was dropped from the roster after he was ruled out for both matches due to injury. AS of yet, no replacement has been called up to replace the former Panathainikos captain.
