AEK DISAPPOINT IN DERBIES
The misery continues for the 2017/2018 Super League champions. Since winning the title two years ago, AEK have failed to win a single derby against either Olympiacos, Panathinaikos or PAOK, with their last victory having been tallied on 1 April 2018 against the Greens (3-0). On Sunday, AEK conceded their latest defeat in a major derby, as PAOK claimed a nervy 1-0 triumph at the Toumba Stadium thanks to a second-half penalty from Vieirinha. AEK are without a victory in 12 successive derbies if we take all tournaments into account.
Third-placed AEK now find themselves trailing league leaders Olympiacos by a huge 13 points with 18 rounds in the books.
The next chance for AEK to finally end their miserable 12-game winless streak in derbies will arrive on January 26 when Olympiacos visit the Olympic Stadium.

PAOK ENJOYING SUCCESS AGAINST AEK
Reigning champions PAOK, on the other hand, love playing against AEK. The Dikefalos tou Vorra, who have defeated the Kitrinomavri in three consecutive Greek Cup finals, are unbeaten against AEK since 5 November 2017, when Marko Livaja scored the only goal to defeat PAOK 1-0 at the OAKA in the Super League.
Of course, AEK were handed a 3-0 technical victory against PAOK in Thessaloniki in the spring of 2018 due to Ivan Savvidis storming the pitch with a firearm attached to his body, but the score was 0-0 when the match was abandoned.

Six consecutive defeats is a new record for bottom club Panionios in the Super League;
Veteran Loukas Vyntra has now made a grand total of 700 league appearances across his entire professional career in all respective domestic championships;
Pedro Martins has been on the Olympiacos bench for 80 games, earning 54 victories and 15 draws while suffering 11 defeats;
Youssef El Arabi has scored at least one goal in five of Olympiacos’ last six Super League games;
Panetolikos have competed in 300 matches at the top level of Greek football;
Atromitos, Olympiacos and Xanthi are the only clubs to have won both of their Super League games in 2020.

All of Petros Giakoumakis’ goals for Atromitos in the Super League have been winners, with the forward striking late to beat Panetolikos in Agrinio;
Jeronimo Barrales calmly scored two penalties to secure a 2-0 triumph for Asteras against OFI in Tripoli;
Federico Macheda scored his sixth marker of the campaign for Panathinaikos in the Super League;
Dimos Baxevanidis tallied his maiden goal of the season for Xanthi in spectacular fashion as he lashed a stunning volley into the right corner against Volos NFC.
