Vagiannidis has taken the plunge. As previously reported on AGONAsport, 18-year-old had rejected Panathinaikos’ offer to remain at the Athenian club, instead choosing to move abroad. SDNA has now confirmed that the gifted right-back has formally signed a four-year contract with Inter.

The teenage full-back will reportedly earn around 300,000 euros per year in Milan. When negotiations began, Inter initially wanted to secure a five-year deal with Vagiannidis, but the young Greek was only willing to pen a contract lasting four years.

He is expected to travel to Italy next month in order to undergo his medical examinations.

Vagiannidis caught the eye for Panathinaikos when making his Super League debut this season. On February 16, the budding star was handed his maiden start for the Prasini in the domestic championship, scoring a goal and dishing out an assist as his team breezed past Panetolikos 3-1 at the Olympic Stadium. Vagiannidis turned down the opportunity to extend his Panathinaikos contract which will expire at the end of June.

The prospect has made four appearances for the under 19 Greek national team.
