Van ‘t Schip names team to play Finland in Athens

Head coach of the Greek national team, John van ‘t Schip, has named his line-up to play against Finland in the concluding game of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying.

In comparison to the game against Armenia on Friday (1-0), Van ‘t Schip hasn’t made any changes to the starting line-up, keeping Odisseas Vlachodimos in goal with Dimitris Giannoulis, Konstantinos Stafylidis, Pantelis Hatzidiakos and Michalis Bakakis in front of him. Dimitris Kourbelis and Konstantinos Galanopoulos will shield the defence, while Petros Mantakos, Tasos Bakasetas and Dimitris Limnios provide the attacking threat.

Vangelis Pavlidis leads the line.

Greece starting XI (4-2-3-1): Vlachodimos (GK) - Giannoulis (LB), Stafylidis (CB), Hatzidiakos (CB), Bakakis (RB) - Kourbelis (DM), Galanopoulos (DM) - Mantalos (LM), Bakasetas (AM), Limnios (RM) - Pavlidis (FW).

Kick-off is scheduled for 21:45 local time at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. With nine games in the books, Greece occupy third place of Group J with 11 points, while Finland sit in second position with 18 points and have already booked their Euro 2020 berth.
