In what is expected to be one of the most vital fixtures of the Super League season, Olympiacos will host PAOK at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium on 1 December in a top-of-the-table clash in Piraeus.

Ahead of that showdown though, both sides face a sprint to keep their title hopes alive ahead of the derby clash.

Battling on both the domestic and continental front, Olympiacos certainly have the heavier workload with two UEFA Champions League fixtures part of the program ahead of PAOK’s visit to the port city.

While trips to Munich to face Bayern Munich and London to tackle Tottenham as the marquee fixtures on the Olympiacos calendar, the Erythrolefki also face a challenge on the domestic scene with a trip to Xanthi also on the cards. Olympiacos will face Atromitos and Panionios on either side of the international break, with maximum likely a necessity in order to hold their two-point lead in the standings.

PAOK’s workload might not include European competition for the remainder of this season, but the reigning champions will be motivated to repeat as Super League champions this season.

A derby clash with Panathinaikos kicks off PAOK’s November schedule before a potentially tricky trip to Crete to face OFI concludes PAOK’s schedule prior to the international break. PAOK then face Larissa when domestic action resumes following international duty as the Thessaloniki giants will have just one fixture prior to making the trip south to Piraeus.
