OLYMPIC SPORTS (TENNIS, WUHAN OPEN): The Greek crew consisting of Eleftherios Konsolas, Panagiotis Magdanis, Spyridon Giannaros, and Ninos Nikolaidis captured the bronze medal at the World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida. This medal, in the men’s lightweight quadruple sculls event, was the only medal that Greece won at this year’s event. With this success, Greece has now won at least one medal at the World Rowing Championships every year since 2004! **VIDEO**

GREECE RIO 2016 OLYMPICS: Greece had two representatives in today’s final rounds of the Rowing competitions. Asoumanaki and Nikolaidou were one spot away from the bronze medal (finished 4th) in the Women’s Double Sculls while the surprise Greek team of the Men’s Lightweight Four finished 6th in the competition. Despite not earning a medal in either event, both teams made it to the final round of each race concluding a successful Olympic Games for the Greek rowing teams.

GREECE RIO 2016 OLYMPICS: Greece went 2/2 in today’s semi-finals of the Rowing events and will have two representatives in Thursday’s finals! Asoumanaki and Nikolaidou progressed in FIRST place in their semi-final race in the Women’s Double Sculls and shortly thereafter, the Men’s Coxless Lightweight Four team qualified for Thursday’s final in third place.
